The structure of the course is really, really good. I keep telling people this. That repetition has really transformed my ability to retain information and has meant my progress has skyrocketed compared to previous years.

I've went from barely being able to create a 3-D logo and not knowing the correct settings to render anything to learning how to make very professional quality 3-D animation videos that look like something Pixar or someone in Hollywood would create.
- Ryan Jones (Level 2 Student)
12 months ago, I had never touched any 3D software of any kind. Now I am at a point where I am creating 3D art I am proud of, and have the confidence to attempt any idea that enters my imagination.

I always wanted to work in the game industry in one way or another, but I thought I couldn't have the skills in 3D to bring it that far.
After trying many tutorials on YouTube and making a course here and there without big success, I thought maybe I am not good enough for this - but then I found the newly started CG fast track series on YouTube, last year.
The teaching style clicked instantly with me and is unique in this business:
Everything is explained and shown in an excellent manner and repeated over the well build courses, which are build on each other.
Without any exaggeration, Robby is one of the best teachers in this part of the business and the value you get from the courses is in no relation to the price. The discord is also the best learning group I ever found on the internet and everyone is helpful - also Robby is very active and is helping where he can... never saw a teacher this active in a community.
I am not only progressing more than I ever thought I could - I am also confident enough to know that the courses will help me find a job in the industry.
If you are thinking about joining... do it!
I´ve tried to get into 3D Art on and of for about 12 years. Trying to learn Maya, Cinema 4D and other Software Suites.
I struggled because the tutorials I´ve found weren´t structured enough or to advanced. Last year I decided to give Blender a try and started with tutorials around the web. There was my old struggle again... and then I stumbled over cgfasttrack.
My skills and understanding has increased drastically since joining. The follow along Screenshots are a blessing, the courses are presented in a great way and a rewarding learning path where you can see results. A great, helpful and respectful community is what I got on top of it. It´s never to late to start your dream...
For years I dipped in and out of blender and 3D modelling, always giving up thinking it was simply something I would never be able to do.
I decided to give things another go this year and found the CG Fast Track Blender Beginner Tutorial on 27/07/2021 on YouTube, the teaching style clicked instantly for me so I signed up 28/07/2021!
If you really want to learn Blender/3D Modelling and a load of stuff essential to CG then CG Fast Track is definitely the most well structured and thought out series of modules you could wish for! Still so much to learn and with such a great team creating the modules, community to be part of growing and learning together I would definitely without question recommend CG Fast Track 100%
I started from scratch years ago. I luckily stumbled upon the sword in the stone tutorial and instantly could tell the difference between all of the other Youtube tutorials and Robby's way of teaching.
To say it was a game changer would be an understatement. I've already been featured on Blender Nation twice and have had people in the game industry reach out to me about my portfolio.
This isn't to brag but it is all because of the skill set I have gained from CGFT. Being able to watch a course and memorizing the steps and understanding the why's of what is going on is so powerful.
A lot of tutorials tell you what to do, CGFT tells you why, when, where, who and everything in between. Its a knowledge that you will not find browsing Youtube.
The discord community is awesome! If you really want to kickstart CG as a hobby or profession there is not another site I would recommend!
If you still considering joining - the quality of the courses is beyond my expectations for the price that it is. I'm happy with everything they bring to the website and honestly i don't think i would get through so much information so quickly and productive as i did following the screenshot method. It's so simple and therefore genius.
Favourite thing is that courses are for beginners and they're getting more intermediate and advanced gradually. It's always interesting bc you start to understand what you do :)
I would recommend this course 100000% Literally thanks to cgft I got a job in game industry waay sooner than i could imagine. I'm forever grateful for joining. I'm sure i would struggle without them so much. Don't hesitate people. It's the best ❤️
Why would I join CG Fast Tack I hear you say?
These courses are intelligently designed to get you up to speed yet not overwhelm you. Not only are they fun and exciting to build, but easy to follow with videos and screenshots that allow you to follow accurately and at your own pace. If you get stuck, it’s real easy to look back and problem solve yourself, or get help from other enthusiastic members on our newly set up Discord community.
There are courses for beginners right through to more advanced users covering many relevant topics.
Importantly, these courses are created by Robby, who has years of real-world experience in the 3D industry. So you only learn good habits and the best way of doing something. The fact that his students are already getting jobs in the industry is a credit to how effective his courses are.
Personally, I love how quickly I am learning and I can feel my confidence quickly grow with each project. Making my own short film no longer feels out of reach or impossible.
On the Internet, you can find many great artists, and some of them have tutorials and, while they are very talented artists, some of them aren't good teachers. I spent a lot of time searching the Internet. Skillshare, LinkedIn, Udemy and, of course, YouTube. I felt overwhelmed and confused.
After trying some of the beginner tutorials and being frustrated, I thought, well, this just isn't for me. Perhaps, I am too old. This is for young people and, then, I found CG Fast Track minecraft tutorial. I did the minecraft tutorial and then the sword in the stone. After that I went to their website and signed up. No hesitation. I haven't regretted it one bit.
One of the things I love about the course is that each module builds on previous knowledge. Everything ties together and reinforces previous skills.
Add to it no more frustration of stopping the video, rewinding, pausing, squinting and trying to see what function was selected. We have screenshots to follow along with after watching the video. What a fantastic idea!
Apart from the screenshots, Robby is a fantastic teacher, he tells you WHY you do something, not just push this button and change this setting.
If you want to jump into the world of CG, you have come to the right place. Come join us. I hope to see you on the CGFT Discord showing off your work.
Trying to get into 3D can be difficult with many tutorials scattered around online and many courses costing $800 to teach a single aspect of 3D. CG Fast Track has a structured approach to take you from beginner to advanced step by step at a wonderfully affordable price!
With the step-by-step screenshots to help you along after the lecture you won't get lost along the way. There is also a wonderful Discord community that is very engaging as you work from level to level through the course!
Whether you are after creating CG or Video Game assets, or just a hobbyist looking to dive into 3D this course is worth the price! You won't find a more structured or engaging course on the internet!
I have tried to learn blender on and off for 4-5 years, but without spending huge amounts of money I never found any tutorials that were truly engaging and explained not only what you were doing, but why. That is until I found CG Fast track. And for the first time I'm fully engaged in what I'm doing and developing an understanding and that's all thanks to cg fast track.
My favourite things about the program are the step by step learning structure. But also the incredible community that comes with it.
Without a question I would recommend cg fast track to anyone who had a desire to learn blender.
If you are prepared to do the work, you will learn a lot.
The courses are very structured and the step by step feature makes it very easy to follow along and learn. I've done the main blender YouTube tutorials without the step by step guide, they are much harder to follow.
The course is expensive compared to YouTube, but you will definitely get your money's worth. You could probably find similar YouTube tutorials. But I doubt they will be presented in such an organized way, that is created by an industry professional.
What is my favorite thing about joining the program?
Robby, the discord community and the step by step guides, they are game changers.
Would I recommend this to others? Yes!
Initially I started learning to 3D models years ago by teaching myself at...you guessed it, YOUTUBE academy lol. I have spent years and years honing my skillz, until one day I realized that there is only so much you can do with YOUTUBE tutorials.
This is when I stumbled upon CGFT (CG Fast Track), and bought myself the full pack as a Christmas present to myself. Now, I'm no stranger to buying tutorials or classes, or lessons, or certificate programs...but rarely do I crack them open and dive right in the way I have with CG Fast Track.
These courses make me EXCITED to re-learn blender in better ways, and even though I had been 'doing blender' for years...I learned something new on the very first course chapter. It's sooooooo worth it.
Not only that, there's literally an ARMY of people who are progressing through the levels with me!
The instructor just has a way with teaching that helps me understand, it is the perfect combination of spoken, written, and hands-on teaching that is upgrading my skills so fast, it is totally amazing. 100% worth it, you will not regret it at all!!!!
It's for everyone, beginners and seasoned veterans.
What lead me into the world of 3D was my passion for gaming and storytelling. I wanted to learn about tools that could help me visualize and bring my own stories to life, and in the best case scenario, being able to work with this as a living. Blender was the first tool I found on my journey but it was hard getting started with tutorials online and I repeatedly lost interest after several attempts. One summer I decided to give it another shot and I found CGFT on youtube and I was HOOKED immediately. I felt like this might be the time were I won't fail again.
The tutorial about the sword in the stone (which is free !) is very precise and every step clearly explains as to why and how it is made. You can really feel that the videos of CGFT are carefully planned before being put out to be as tailored as possible for beginners, and the difficulty of the courses increases at a steady pace. If you have done the sword the stone tutorial on youtube I can tell you that the rest of the paid courses on this site have the same exact quality.
The discord that you will gain access to is a great motivational factor as you can post your own works for feedback and see other aspiring artists works and progression.
If you have ever thought about making a career in 3D, CGFT is one of the best shots you'll ever get to get started. It's a one time purchase that will bring so much more value than the cost and that might set you on your path of you dream career. That is to me a priceless service.
As part of school education we had to learn Autodesk Inventor and I ended up loving it. The plan was always to work in the game industry in one way or another, so after I failed spectacularly in Backend programming I found my way back to 3D art.
I started trying to learn the basics of blender using YouTube, but found that nothing was sticking. Always been hard for be to contain information, but then I found CGFT's first 2 free courses. I actually understood and learned. I knew I couldn't go back to YT, so saved up and bought the course.
The discord community keeps me going. Whenever, I feel my ambition for 3D go I see the amazing projects the community makes and I get inspired all over again. Being a noob, that shows me that dedication to the course can make my whacky ideas come true.
To anyone who is considering starting the program, I can only say that they should try the free introductory courses on YT. If that doesn't spark a fire of possibility in you I don't know what will. All I can say is that the program is a robbery for that price. If you REALLY want to learn there is no better option.
Quality online education can be really hard to find, especially when it comes to the wide (and sometimes scary) world of 3D. Anyone who has trawled YouTube and other online recourses for guidance can attest to that feeling of finishing a project without coming away with a deeper understanding of what it is they just did. CGFT is so, so different. With CGFT you finish a project with a greater and deeper understanding of what being a 3D artist is all about, as well as a kick ass project to be proud of. Knowledge, comprehension, and skill are all equally prioritised and taught.
On so many occasions I have followed other tutorials that are simply a step by step, and do not give you an insight into why each step is important. CGFT gives you real and practical under-the-hood knowledge, coupled with professional insight, a combination which can be so hard to find on the internet.
12 months ago, I had never touched any 3D software of any kind. Now I am at a point where I am creating 3D art I am proud of, and have the confidence to attempt any idea that enters my imagination. I could not recommend CGFT and its community of artists and students any higher. Without it there is no way I would be at this point, where I have the confidence, skills, and knowledge to pursue my dreams.
If your goal is to become a professional, take a hobby further, or just explore a new area of interest, this is the place to be.
I started learning 3D when I enrolled into a school, specifically the 3DCG major, where we mostly work with Maya. Having never used any kind of 3D software before, I struggled a bit with keeping up with the lessons, especially since my professor's teaching style didn't really click with me, so I figured I'd also study separately at home.
That's when I stumbled upon CGFastTrack's Sword In The Stone tutorial on YouTube, and saying that I was absolutely blown away would be an understatement.
I had lightly used Blender several years ago, following a certain round pastry tutorial all the way to the end, but ended up dropping it once I completed the series as I simply didn't have the motivation to create something new again, and figured that Blender just wasn't for me.
But Robby's tutorial absolutely ignited a flame in me; I had never had so much fun learning something before. Every new chapter was so exciting, and left me feeling so proud when I finished them. Once I completed the sword tutorial, I didn't hesitate for a second to purchase the full course, and it has genuinely been one of the best decisions I've ever made.
Though I'm still a first year student in college, I'm undoubtedly one of the top of my class, and have already had experience creating assets for a certain major production company here in Japan.
I still have so much to learn, and so many courses to finish. Every time I manage to squeeze in enough time to finish a couple chapters of a course, I get a notification of a brand new course being added. For the price point, it's honestly absolutely insane how much content there is. Thank you Robby, and thank you CGFastTrack!
I started my journey with CG Fast Track in December 2022 to learn how to make assets with Blender that can add value. It is now a year later, not only have I accomplished this but also gained so much more insight into what I would really like to do due to the variety and building blocks provided by each course.
I started finding myself getting really excited looking at the world around me, observing the color, light and shadows with a new perspective. Observing materials and how they respond to their environment.
Most important, knowing what to look for and what I am looking at, and how to start bringing those experiences into my art. It would not have been possible without CG Fast Track and the support of the Discord Fast Track Army to get to where I am now as fast as I did, nor would I still be as excited about learning as I was the first day I started.
This is an all in one package where the value far outweighs the cost.
I highly recommend CG Fast Track to complete beginners, intermediate students seeking to cement their Blender and Art fundamentals and add to or enhance existing skills, as well as hobbyists that wish to gain the skills to express themselves artistically at their own pace.
You not only get the knowledge to do some exciting projects, what is way more worth is that you learn to think a certain way. CG Fast Track takes you by the hand and gets you from knowing absolutely nothing about 3D to an advanced 3D Artist. (in literally no time)
You learn not just practical things to get one specific task done, you rather learn how to think as a 3D Artist, how to face problems and solve them and how to approach things. The organized teaching style of the instructor takes your fear for failing.
3D is a wide space of different and complicated topics, CG Fast Track makes it look and feel easy like you wouldn't imagine.
Stop looking for your 100th youtube tutorial or paying hundreds and thousands of dollars on one specific course. Join the program for much less and get the most structured and most streamlined learning platform I've ever come across.
It was worth every penny and even more. It changed the way I think and I'm incredible proud to be a part of that journey!
PS: Our Discord Server is full of amazing people.
If you are considering joining then let me tell you that this program is 100% worth it, I have looked at many online tutorials, courses and so on while trying to learn to use Blender, and CGFastTrack is the best by a landslide. There wasn't a single moment where I was at a loss what to do, and the speed at which I learned new things and could implement them was inspiring to me.
Structure would have to be my favourite, the separation of courses into specific areas that build upon each other, how the courses are then split into parts, chapters and sections, meaning if you need to look up a very specific thing it's very easy to do, and with the screenshots of literally every step you can take all the time you need and double check if something didn't go right.
If I knew someone who wanted to get into CG or wanted to sharpen their abilities I would definitely recommend them FastTrack.
The CG Fast Track community is some of the nicest and friendliest communities i've ever seen, and despite any struggles you may have in Blender, someone has always got your back.
For those who still considering joining, let me share a few of my experiences.
I have zero skill in 2D, not a mindful observer of surroundings. Everything has changed since I join CGFT; every time I see structures, I begin asking how should I model this thing; this object has dust, a little moss, scratches, etc. Now I am aware a bit of the depth, colours, light, camera frames. The step by step is the most significant help, efficient way to revisit the courses without trouble to spend more time, e.g. take a look at nodes, settings, etc.
If you are busy and sometimes distracted, on and off, the community is the best place conducive; it will boost your passion; Robby shares Industry knowledge gives you feedback on your progress from a professional perspective!
I started about 3 years ago looking for a hobby to do after work. I found Blender and thought I might as well try it out. For the first 1-2 years I bounced between free online tutorials and trying to figure stuff out myself it was very discouraging and I lost my enthusiasm.
But one day when I was surfing YouTube, I saw the Blender 2.8 Beginner Tutorial from CG Fast Track and gave it a shot. The way it was presented with short chapters and the screenshots made it easy to understand while also making good progress.
Once I finished the tutorial, I was very proud with my results and I went to the CG Fast Track website and saw the range of other topic I could learn and I instantly bought a subscription.
Since that time, I have learned many things and even created a few scenes myself with the knowledge from the tutorials and started showing them online.
That has really push me to want to become a full time 3D artist in the industry and I believe that this community is the best way to do so.
In fact, my mother tongue is not English, which makes it even more troublesome for me to look up related lessons on the Internet.
However, every lesson of CGFastTrack comes with subtitles and screenshot operations, allowing me to understand the course through a short picture review.
And CGFastTrack has marked the relevant difficulty in every lesson, so that the learning process can be gradual, instead of learning a course on youtube and not knowing what to do next.
I think that CGFastTrack is easily one of the best courses compared to other paid courses.
I wanted to learn 3D to create games and struggled to find study resources. Until the sword in the stone tutorial. Seeing the intro and being told that I can make this epic scene really made me excited and happy. Bought the membership soon after completion. And I haven’t regretted anything since. CG Fast Track is truly a god send. I definitely would encourage anyone to buy this membership cus it’s awesome.
My favorite thing about this program would be seeing a new course. Seeing an awesome scene and knowing that you will be taught how to build it and the fact that you can. Simply .🔥
I would definitely recommend this to others.
Anyone who wants to really learn animation and dig into the industry or just as a hobby would learn a lot from the CG Fast Track courses.
One of the main reasons I joined was to learn animation to make my own animated series. Also because I have loved animation since I was a little kid.
One thing I have really loved in joining, is the community as it is full of talented and nice people from all different backgrounds.
I also love how you have the step by step guides as well as the videos to allow you to go at your own speed better.
I highly recommend this program to anyone interested in animation and wants a door way into the world of animation at a great price.
To someone who's considering joining I would say "don't hesitate and join us this instant".
My favourite thing is the general design of the courses as well as the pedagogy and experienced advises of the teacher.
There's basically everything I want to learn in Blender or 3D in general. As for recommending, I already have so yes.
I am really learning and enjoying this. I want to thank you all for this endlessly. ❤️
I always had an interest for 3D modeling, but the resources available for studying were always... let's say disappointing. At best you can become one trick pony(master of donuts ). At worse you waste a lot of time.
I like the way CG Fast Track is built, it's engaging you do cool stuff even on beginner lvl courses AND you get a clear road map what's next and what you could attempt at your current lvl, which is the best way to solidify your newly acquired skills.
The follow after video approach is Genius. As I'm not good with watching videos ...more of the listen music and read to learn type, so those screen shots gave me wings.
I have been looking for courses that build on each other for a long time and came across CG Fast Track.
Robby is an excellent teacher and I have made a lot of progress. Don't wait and join us, there is no better place to learn CG.
Robby Branham thank you so much for your hard work in putting this whole thing together!
I had spent months trying to learn from random YouTube videos, then I found yours with the minecraft scene and that was the golden ticket for me. Love your teaching style, helping understand what each function actually is and is doing.
I've made more progress the last few weeks than I have in months thanks to these courses!
In less than a months time, I've went from barely being able to create a 3-D logo and not knowing the correct settings to render anything to learning how to make very professional quality 3-D animation videos that look like something Pixar or someone in Hollywood would create. I will admit that I'm up till 4:00am working on stuff but that's just because I'm having so much fun and find this course very impressive. I even impress myself. My family, my friends, they're all in awe with the content I've been posting with jaw dropping emojis, impressed with what I'm able to create now.
In a month's time, I've learned how to build fairly complex objects with grade-A textures and shaders, rig and animate collections and take really good action shots by animating the cameras and lights. But that's not it, during this time I've also learned a lot about lighting techniques, like where to place lights and what colors to use. I'm learning so quick that I get so excited about my abilities and skills that I just have to stop for a moment and calm myself down. There's things that Robby teaches in these courses that I would not have even known to look for in YouTube tutorials.
I'm just so impressed that I really can't even express how awesome this program is. I could write and write and write about all the good things I feel about this program but simply put, this is one of the funnest learning experiences I've ever had with anything and I've learned in a month's time what would have taken years if I was trying to learn it by myself.
Excellent, excellent program that Robby has put together.
The structure of the course is really, really good. I keep telling people this. That repetition has really transformed my ability to retain information and has meant my progress has skyrocketed compared to previous years.
I learned first from this site, although It has been a while since I have done a lesson. It's more due to a lack of time recently, though.
It so far has had more details than most things I have found.
Mostly, the great lessons.
Follow along as best as you can, and know there are people in the discord willing to help if you need it.
I feel I should mention this. The main reason I started to learn 3D is because, well, I guess, to tell stories. I am a writer working also to get a book published, and 3D animation seemed like a good thing to work on as another form of storytelling. It seemed like an easy way to tell stories through a visual medium, especially when I am barely learning to draw in a way that looks good. I haven't done any of the lessons in far too long, but I will have more time soon it seems. I don't mean actually easy, I mean easier than learning to draw frame after frame. Animation in any form takes a lot of work to do.
Honestly, if you're into gaming and have a lot of creativity that you want to express like I do, but don't know how, get this course!
Have a look at their YouTube sword in the stone example course and give it a test run for how simple they make it, I tried it and loved it. Couldn't get enough so I brought the course itself, which is phenomenal, far better depth and no prior knowledge require. The perfect place to start to get into it. Worth every penny.
They even have a discord for questions that you don't understand or any difficulties that you can't figure out via their cheat sheets and guides. The repetitive nature of the course is actually made fun at drilling the keys and shortcuts into your brain which actually teaches you how to do the things you want to, rather than just copying some other tutorial and wondering well how did I do that?
I started learning blender to make a meme and so I started doing the famous donut tutorial but the sprinkles part of it wasn't working I'm glad I got that far as it taught me the shortcuts.
Then I found the CGFT and the Minecraft one got me hooked then I got the sword one done, after that I bought the fast track classes and I've made a few memes using blender and found a love for 3d modeling and animation.
Fast tracks the way to go if you want to be able to listen to music while you work as they offer cheat sheets so you don't have to listen to the video.
If your thinking about it and your serious about it take the plunge.
3d modeling has always been an interest of mine since around Sophomore year of high school. I'm wanting to get into Game Development, and 3d Modeling is a highly useful skill to have in regards to this. I was also intrigued anyhow, so for a long time I've been wanting to learn.
For a long time though, learning has been rather frustrating... many of the YouTube courses I found either didn't tell me enough, flew through it with minimum explanation or were hard to follow along. Even the famous Donut tutorial was missing a little something in my eyes...
I stumbled onto CGFastTrack through their BootCamp videos on YouTube, and from the start of it I was impressed. Easy to follow, in-depth explanations, a massive range of tutorials from beginner to expert, simple and intuitive progression...
Outside of the program itself, the staff are friendly and helpful, the community is extraordinarily supportive, there are opportunities for growth, portfolio and career development, and the developers are planning on expanding and updating constantly.
I made more progress in 3d modeling through CGFastTrack than I did in my entire life anywhere else.
Well worth the money, three times over.
My favorite thing about CG Fast Track is how the courses are laid out and explained in the videos.
The layout of the web UI really helps you track your progress easily.
The way the instructors describe what they are doing and WHY they are doing it really helps me absorb what I am trying to learn.
For me it started with making a ninite on my new computer. there was that blender logo, and since i work with engineering stuff and art i thought to give it a try. on youtube i then found the minecraft and sword in stone project and got hooked. so i saved up hard as i was in a very tough space.
i'd wholeheartedly recomment the programm, since it is all very well explained and built up. you're forced to build that muscle memory and get very fast and confident with the basics in a very short amount of time. and i feel like all the explanations drift towards what to do and never into how to do it. you know how to do it from the first courses and this really helps in finding your own style in handeling this software.
Hands down this has the best courses I've found to learn the 3d industry
I started learning 3d as a hobby, the first thing i did was the famous blender donut series. It wasn't a bad course, but it required massive time investment just to finally have something decent to show.
But then i stumbled upon CG FAST TRACK you tube channel. I finally found a type of tutorials that was done in manageable chunks and in a way, that i could see the results quickly.
That massively improved my motivation to continue learning. In fact, CG FAST TRACK was the first blender related thing i decided to spend money on. I deemed it an investment into my future hobby. And it certainly paid off :D
I really appreciated CGFT and all of the fundamental courses. In one place I had everything i needed to get that basic, most important knowledge and easily commit it to my brain.
And let me tell you, with these fundamentals i finally had what i needed to start making my own projects. And thanks to more advanced courses i was just learning more and more.
One of my favourite and unique things that this program showed me was the power of screenshots. Watching the video first and then using screenshots have spoiled me a lot haha.
With the courses being split into videos i never felt overwhelmed, i could easily watch a couple chapters, do them and feel satisfaction with the fact that i was progressing.
If you are still considering joining the program, then I really encourage you to do so. I can with 100% confidence say that with the help of this community what used to be just a hobby, turned into my new job, one that I immensively enjoy.
And the community is a very welcoming place, it really kept me motivated to continue learning :)
This program has changed my carrer for the better. I sincerely hope you will try it out as well!
I initially started CG with the famous donut tutorial by Blender Guru, but I wanted to see what other kinds of programs were out there.
I read online about somebody recommending CG Fast Track and decided to try out some of their youtube videos.
I immediately recognized the level of understanding coming from CG Fast Track and decided to dive a little deeper. The format that Robby uses is immensely helpful, giving you both video and corresponding notes. This format let's you run through the videos and then when attempting on your own, allows for quick references.
I do also enjoy the private discord community of CG artists that comes with the package. Many of the active members are advanced and it can be intimidating at first, but I'm looking forward to learning more day by day hopefully coming up to their level.
If you are considering starting the program I think the price for what you get is more than fair, but you have to have the stamina of pushing yourself harder and harder everyday. If you want to learn CG or at least give it a go, beginner to advanced, you have arrived.
I started learning 3d in blender back in 2021 because I wanted to share my imagination with the world.
Like most, I started learning through YouTube. While I can say I learnt a few things from there, the skills never really stuck. I was more just ""following along"" rather than building a solid foundation of beginner skills. That was until I saw the sword in the stone project by Robby from CGFT. I have always been fascinated with the medieval period so the theme of the project was perfect for me.
I can still remember when I first started that project thinking to myself; ""This is on a whole other level!""
After finishing the sword in the stone I was beyond happy, I had created something awesome but more than that, I had understood what and why I was doing what Robby said. Unfortunately it took a lot longer for me to join CGFT than I would have liked. In between I have learnt a bit more and felt my skills grow. Once I joined I discovered that some of what I have been doing can be done A LOT easier! I completed the modelling, uv and texturing course creating the alchemy table scene and I learnt so much more than I expected!
Overall I have so many things I like about CGFT but if I had to choose just 1 thing, it would be the teaching style. With Robby you don't just follow along like some of the YouTube courses and tutorials. You actually understand what you are doing as well as ""why"" you are doing it that way.
To anyone that is thinking of joining CGFT I can tell you now, stop thinking and don't wait as long as I did. If you are wanting to get into 3d as a career or just as a hobby, CGFT is the place to learn it all. Everything is so clear and the courses are amazing.
I hope that we will see you soon ;)
I started my 3d journey when my Final year project professor asked me to design the 3d Model of the theoretical design of machine, me and my 3 partners designed. I loved designing the whole project in 3d and form that point, I knew what I should be doing in life. I was using AutoCad, Solidworks and CREO at that time. But these software had their limitations.
So I started learning blender and somehow landed on CGFT's sword in stone course on YouTube. That course introduced me to new era of 3D which I didn't know before. I got more curious and instantly bought the CGFT course.
The teaching method of Robby inspired me and before this course, I was really confused about where to start. I love to be the part of this community where everyone is super supportive and you grow from beginner to advance.
I would recommend this course to everyone who wants to start their 3D Journey. CGFT is the best place to learn and grow fast.
Truly an amazing way to learn CG. I have learned SO much. The community and tutors are AMAZING
I always wanted to get into the CG industry for films and games. So I started trying out different Blender tutorials on YouTube. However, after a while, I felt like I was just button-pushing and not understanding the concepts behind the CG fundamentals. Until I stumbled upon the Sword in Stone Series on YouTube. That tutorial kickstarted my journey in 3D.
What’s unique about Robby’s teaching style is that he breaks up the tutorial into manageable pieces, allowing me to have an in-depth understanding of art and CG fundamentals. In addition, the step-by-step screenshots allow me to follow along with the tutorial easily. I think it's an effective and unique approach to teaching.
As a full-time college student, I can only afford so much time on CG Fast Track outside of my school and work schedule. Yet, I was surprised by how fast I progressed following Robby’s learning workflow. Within 2 years of on-and-off learning CG, I was awarded my first ever achievement in CG, Editor’s Choice, by The Rookies. It was the highlight of the year. Knowing that I had no prior CG knowledge 2 years ago, I can’t imagine how much more I will progress in the coming years.
I am confident that with the help of CG Fast Track, I'll be able to land a job in the CG industry. So whether you're thinking about learning CG as a hobby or as a career path, CG Fast Track is the place to start.
I started my 3D journey wandering around different YouTube channels and even some other paid courses, wondering which workflows I should focus on, and always struggling to build on the techniques I acquired from each lesson.
As a certified teacher, I knew this was a far cry from the ideal way to learn, so I started looking for a platform that would actually take me through the fundamentals in a linear way, repeating and expanding on concepts in each subsequent lesson.
Boy, did I find what I was looking for! CGFT is education done right and I’ve already started building my 3D portfolio to prove it.
Huge thanks to the team and community at CGFT - I heartily recommend the program to anyone who wants to learn 3D.
There are a lot of things i can say about this course, but to keep it short, i find it a great way to start, with diferent enough courses to make more original works and more than capable to make you learn anything you need to start, continue and end in the industry with a work and a life, i recommend it to anyone who want's to start and doesn't want to be alone.
CGFasttrack is the BEST when it comes to blender. I had been struggling with the donut and hard surface tutorials for years and they never suck.
Robby includes a bit a lifestyle when it comes to learning and encourages you to show up daily and that over time is what allows us to build muscle memory for the blender workflow.
Robby teaches us proper topology from the ground up.
The Car Series tutorial is the best, you'll love it. Get this course if you want to master Blender.
No addons, No photoshop, Just blender.
My name is Matthew. I am 16 years old and have always wanted to do 3d animation, but I could not figure out how to. I saw an ad for Blender one day, so I started researching it. And I fell in love with Blender, so I went to YouTube and started learning how to use Blender. After three months of using YouTube, I still was not getting all I wanted.
Then, I ran into a CG fast-track free course on YouTube. It was terrific, and then I thought, what would happen if I paid for CG Fast Track 800$ dollar course? I dreamed about it so much, then I was like, I will do it. I will pay 800$ for the CG Fast Track course.
All I had to do was convince my mom and dad. I thot it would be easy. But I was wrong. The price was extremely reasonable. They offered a lifetime membership, a one-time payment, a 30-day return, and over 30 courses. That was amazing. So, I got a CG Fast Track course.
Then I realized they had a discord; everyone on the discord was positive and supportive and helped each other. They were like a team that was from different parts of the world. You should get this course and do not give up no matter what.
As a motion designer I knew it is also important to have some general knowledge about 3D software. Blender seemed intimidating to me at first. By coincidence the new User Interface changes which made Blender much more intuitive were introduced roughly around the same time when I stumbled over Robby Branham’s CG Fast Track course.
I always preferred courses over YouTube videos and when I saw the course curriculum I knew this would be the perfect fit for me. It has a generalist approach but goes deep into many 3D subjects. I’m glad that I this course exists. A real bonus is also that the content gets updated for major Blender versions.
Robby’s fantastic teaching style and the caring Discord community make this course a positive learning experience through and through. After a little more than a year into the course I was able to land a 3D job on a computer game, which I’m sure would not have been possible without CGFT.
Even if blender is free software, making is reputation as software for hobbyist so I was looking for resources that teach blender in the professional side and there come CG Fast Track.
It show me how Blender can be used at a Professional level and that make that difference. Blender used by Professional for anyone wanted to work in a professional level.
At CGFT we found unvaluable resources and tips and tricks used in the professional world to achieve convincing results.
So the best place to up your level in Blender and be pro ? Yes sure..............it is.
The CG Fast Track course is the best online course I’ve ever done, and I’ve done a lot of online courses!
My knowledge about Blender was zero before I started, but one day I stumbled on the CGFT Blender beginner tutorial video on youtube. For me, the course and Robby’s explanations were perfect, I was able to complete it!
For those with no knowledge of Blender, there’s no better way to start than CGFT. Each lesson is broken up into short videos, followed by the written notes. Do the FREE CG Fast Track Blender beginner tutorial on youtube, to get a taste of what’s to come!
If you’ve already made the sword and enjoyed it, buying the course is a no brainer! The “watch video then follow the notes” is the perfect way to do an online course. The sword is just a teaser of the amazing things you’ll make in these courses.
I credit the majority of what I’ve learned in blender to Robby, his team and the CGFT army, check out some of what I’ve made at https://travishi.artstation.com/
You will learn Blender with this school, and you will be able to build your own amazing CG creations!
I had no prior knowledge of 3D modeling before CG Fast Track and it's a game changer.
Instead of mindlessly following a tutorial online you actually go in depth and get to understand how things work and why you do them.
Plus, you get access to a great community of 3D enthusiasts always ready to provide help and feedback!
25 years ago I started to explore 3D just for fun. I had no tutorials and it was a lot of trial in error. In college I took two independent studies in college which allowed me to explore modelling but there was little direction given and again mostly trial and error to learn how to do things (also back then rendering took hours/days not seconds). After that I didn't touch it for 20+ years but finally decided to start exploring again. Quick note back in college I did take a lot of art classes so some of the artistic and photographic lessons posted here a CGFT brought back memories of things long since forgotten.
OK onto the part y'all probably care more about, should you chose this program? Simple answer YES!!!! I will say I have been more than impressed with CGFT. If the few weeks I have spent watching the tutorials and playing with Blender I learned more than I did in the college courses.
Watching the videos, then using the cheat sheets and eventually not needing them is such a fun way to learn and do. If you are looking to learn Blender I can't recommend these courses enough. They are easily worth the price of admission and relatively quickly you will have the skills to create you own work that you will be very proud to show off.
Visual art and 3D in particular has always fascinated me. I dreamt of becoming a CG artist one day. Then I bumped into Blender and it immediately became clear to me that I was going to fall in love with it. The software is very powerful and on top of that also free, which is a big plus for hobbyists and beginners.
So, I headed straight to YouTube and to my delight I found there were tons of tutorials. I chose one and started watching. One hour into the tutorial and I am bored to death and utterly frustrated because of endless explanations about Blender UI and still having no idea how to do a basic 3D scene... So for a while my dream remained just that - a dream.
I kept looking for a better way to learn about Blender and CG. Luckily, I came across CGFT tutorials on YouTube. My god, doing the Minecraft tutorial for the first time was simply mind-blowing.
Robby is an amazing teacher. He combines hands on experience with very clear explanations of carefully selected topics to gradually get you to learn Blender and CG. In addition, he is a professional 3D artist, so he knows the industry inside out. But that's not all, at CGFT you become a part of the great community.
Do I recommend CGFT? Absolutely! Thank you Robby and team, you are awesome!
I had tinkered with Blender and some 3D models and modelling by following YouTube videos, but after running through the free CG Fast Track tutorials I quickly realised that this was going to be the best way to learn how to navigate every aspect of the program.
The progressive lessons delivered by Robby are just fantastic and step-by-step summary slides of courses ("cheat sheets") help as a quick reminder and reinforcement of concepts learnt on the way. No more scrubbing rewind on YouTube videos a dozen times just to try and understand each step.
Robby's training and industry experience shine through these lessons and he introduces the concepts through progressively more complex projects. I got bang for my buck from the first few courses in what I learnt and the creativity it sparked, and I haven't even got to the lessons I joined up to work on.
My first encounter with Blender was for a small work project. I wanted to create a nice animation for a promotional video. At the time I had never did anything with 3D modelling. I tried and failed, I could not get the hang of blender even with several tutorials. I got lost in the sea of buttons and options.
Fast forward a year later. I came across a promotional video from CG Fast Track for the sword in stone tutorial. The animation and music, it captured and amazed me, I wanted to be able to do this. The video inspired me to try Blender again but this time with a great tutorial, guide and mentor. CG Fast Track's tutorials are clear, nicely paced and captivating. Watching the video instructions first and then trying it yourself with the step by step guide makes it easy to follow allong.
With the lessons I learned I was able to realize my imagination. I'm now also applied my modelling skills to several promotional videos for my day time job. So, if you are looking to get into Blender, get onboard with CG Fast Track!
I started learning 3D with CGFastTrack. I found the minecraft video on YouTube and quickly realized i had a decent enough throughput with Blender to keep going. Fast forward a few weeks later & I've completed 3 other courses. I'm almost finished with my 4th.
I can confidently say I would have never gotten into 3D modeling if it weren't for this community. The courses are structured in an efficient manner. The instructor is pleasant, positive & pushes you to be the best version of yourself.
I've recently joined the discord and I have to say that this is one of the coolest communities I've found on the internet, period!
If you're considering tapping in - DO IT! I can't recommend these courses & this community enough.
I started learning by watching youtube and building on my previous 3D software knowledge, but after starting the course i quickly learned new ways and technique to model the same and more advanced or better quality.
The CG fast track starts at the basic and with every course it adds layers to that knowledge, its easy and understandable and witht the cheatsheets very easy to follow along.
Its not a course you will finish in a week, but if you really want to understand modeling, texturing, shading, lighting, animating and many other things this could be something to keep you busy for the next year.
Gaming and 3D have always been an interest of mine, but I had no idea how to start my own project until I found one of CG Fast Track's tutorials on YouTube.
The three months of learning have changed me from a clueless beginner to being able to make my own work from start to finish. Normally I wouldn't use fun to describe learning software, but it's being an enjoyable journey.
The course is in-depth but easy to follow along. It doesn't assume you know anything about blender, and guides you hand by hand to make amazing projects, down to the last detail and every shortcut.
If you are a complete beginner looking to get into 3D, don't hesitate and join the fun.
What can I say?
As a hobbiest starting out with a keen interest, i was unsure about the initial investment, but boy am I glad I commited.
The courses are fantastic, structured in a way that is engaging and rewarding. Seeing your progress overtime is super motivational, as is helping the newer members of the community just starting out. Being able to support newer members by answering questions and troublshooting their problems really helps to reinforce how much you've learned since starting.
Overall, great courses, great teacher and great community.
You rock CGFasttrack!
I attended a short Introduction course To 3D studio at a local college In the early 1990`s, But I could not afford the software or Hardware to pursue it..
I subscribed To CG FastTracck after completing the MineCraft and Sword In The Stone You tube courses Using blender. I love it. And The discord Forum for Ideas encouragement and Help.
I hope to Level up to Intermediate By the end of this month and have started to create my own Portfolio incorporating some of my own projects.
For anyone starting out this is a great course to follow, BUT KEEP AT IT and keep repeating until you're Happy and understand each part.
I wanted to learn 3D modelling in order to make a game. I haven't reached that goal yet. In the past, I messed with 3d modeling programs like 3DS max, but I felt they were too complicated. When I tried blender in the past, I didn't really like it.
CGFT helped me because the instructor is very knowledgeable, accessible and goes into detail about the nodes used in a particular project.
With youtube videos, they tend to gloss over the why. Sometimes you get videos that are music with plaintext at the bottom telling you what to do. Overall, it just wasn't a good experience.
My favorite part of this course is you gain a better understanding of the tools than just a youtube tutorial.
I would say that they should try out the free sword tutorial first to see if they like the teaching methodology. If they find the tutorial useful and are motivated to learn, then they should purchase the course.
Its a good platform to learn blender.
